【獨立媒體】57歲男子被指於2024年3月至11月期間，在Facebook、Instagram及Threads發布合共145則具煽動意圖的帖文，被控一項「明知而發布具煽動意圖的刊物」罪（「新煽動罪」），他今（8日）於西九龍裁判法院認罪，被判囚一年。休庭期間，一名旁聽女士及瑞士籍攝影師 Progin Marc Gerard，指稱一名司法機構職員在法庭外以手機拍攝他們，要求對方交出手機檢查及刪除相片，惟遭拒絕。案件判刑之後，「阿牛」曾健成在公眾席站立及舉手，直接向總裁判官、國安法指定法官蘇惠德投訴事件，蘇官則解釋事發時正在休庭，法庭難即時介入，建議公眾人士若然對司法機構安排有任何不滿，可以向政務長投訴。「王小姐」在庭外稱，她與涉事職員對質期間，目睹對方將涉事手機交給另一些人，質疑有「包庇」情況。她表明會考慮向司法機構正式作出投訴，又表示：「冇諗過身為公職人員會知法犯法。」

In January alone, Telegram reported 90 million new accounts. Its founder, Pavel Durov, described this as “the largest digital migration in human history.” Signal reportedly doubled its user base to 40 million people and became the most downloaded app in 70 countries. The two services rely on encryption to protect the privacy of user communication, which has made them popular with protesters seeking to conceal their identities against repressive governments in places like Belarus, Hong Kong, and Iran. But the same encryption technology has also made them a favored communication tool for criminals and terrorist groups, including al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
