﴿لَن یَضُرُّوكُمۡ إِلَّاۤ أَذࣰى﴾ يُلحقونه بكم من قتلٍ جبانٍ، وحصارٍ بائسٍ، لا يُعتبر ضررًا كبيرا، طالما لم يهزموكم! وكلّ أذى دون الهزيمة يسير، بل هو مقدّمَةٌ لنصر عظيم.
ثم هم - لجُبنهم وخَوَرهم وضعفهم - لا يجترئون على مواجهتكم في ساحة المعركة؛ لأنهم ﴿وَإِن یُقَـٰتِلُوكُمۡ یُوَلُّوكُمُ ٱلۡأَدۡبَارَ﴾ فارّين منهزمين من غير أن يظفروا منكم بشيء ذي بال لهم!
﴿ثُمَّ لَا یُنصَرُونَ﴾ بعد ذلك، ولا تحصُل لهم قوَّةٌ وشوكَةٌ بعد الانهزام.
