1) Zoological Survey of India has discovered a new species of head-shield sea slug. It has been discovered in Digha on the West Bengal coast and Udaipur on the Odisha coast. This new species has been named after President Draupadi Murmu.

3) The Mizoram state recently celebrated Chapchar Kut, its grandest festival, with a vibrant display of tradition and festivity.
➨Chapchar Kut is a significant spring festival celebrated with great enthusiasm by the people of Mizoram.
4) Chandigarh University were crowned the overall champions of the KIUG 2023, Ashtalakshmi with a total of 71 medals, including 32 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze. This is the first time that Chandigarh University has won the overall crown.
5) Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Agra Metro from Kolkata.
➨The metro has created history by being the first in the country to start running on the tracks almost nine months ahead of schedule.
6) Union Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the Agriculture Integrated Command and Control Centre in New Delhi to empower farmers with real-time data, address agricultural challenges.
7) The government of India, in consultation with the Election Commission, amended the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, to raise the minimum age for senior citizens eligible for voting by postal ballot, to 85 years from 80 years.
8) The Union Cabinet approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2024 representing an increase of 4% over the existing rate of 46% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate against price rise.
9) Nicaragua has become the first nation in the Spanish-speaking world to recognise Indian Pharmacopeia, as India and Nicaragua signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Pharmacopoeia on cooperation in the field of the regulation of medicines.
10) Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Commerce and Industry, and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal, launched the 'e-Kisan Upaj Nidhi' (Digital Gateway) of the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) in New Delhi.
11) Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs inaugurated 201 CNG Stations and India’s first Small Scale LNG Unit of GAIL.
12) PM Narendra Modi inaugurated India's first underwater metro tunnel in Kolkata marking a milestone in the nation's infrastructure development.
