سختی‌ها باعث رشد شخصیت، قدرت و اراده انسان‌ها میشن. وقتی آدمای قوی به‌وجود میان، جامعه رو بهتر می‌کنن و باعث آرامش و رفاه میشن. اما توی دوران رفاه، نسل بعدی چون سختی نکشیده، ممکنه تنبل، راحت‌طلب یا بی‌اراده بشه، و همین باعث می‌شه دوباره شرایط سختی به‌وجود بیاد. اگر جامعه‌ای زیادی در رفاه بمونه ولی ارزش‌های سخت‌کوشی، مسئولیت‌پذیری، صداقت، درست‌کاری و تلاش حفظ نشه، ممکنه دوباره به عقب برگرده.
