هادی موسوی، مدیرکل پیشین مطالعات وزارت تعاون در سخنانی از وجود حدود ۱۴ میلیون کودک در ایران خبر داد که خانواده‌هایشان توان تأمین حداقل سبد غذایی را ندارد. طبق گزارشی که موسوی اعلام کرد، حدود ۴۵۰ هزار کودک بازمانده از تحصیل و تقریبا یک و نیم میلیون کودک در معرض بازماندن از تحصیل در ایران زندگی می‌کنند.
