و خداوند درباره این شب می‌فرمایند:
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
زيرا «شب قدر بهتر از هزار ماه است» يعني: عمل نيك در آن، بهتر از عمل نيك در هزار ماهي است كه شب قدري در آنها نباشد........
