Zaman saya mula mengajar dulu, ada seorang pelajar lelaki yang pemalas dan buat kerja lekeh-lekeh. Tapi bila dia masuk tahun kedua, tiba-tiba dia berubah jadi seorang yang rajin dan komited. Mula consult lecturers dan buat soalan exam tahun-tahun dulu.

Waktu makan-makan, dia cerita yang dia dah jatuh hati pada seorang classmate dia. Dan dia berharap dia dapat jadi a better person.

‘She makes me want to be a better person.’

Bila sampai final year, classmate dia kawin dengan lelaki lain yang dah kerja. I guess it is difficult to compete like that.

Bila berbual, dia kata dia tumpang gembira.

‘Kita kenalah gembira bila orang yang kita suka gembira. Itu yang penting..’

I guess, in the end, it is always better to give your best and get rejected than to not try at all.

Maybe rejection is part of life.

When you get rejected, you simply lose someone who doesn’t love you. But the one who reject you lose someone who love them wholeheartedly. So it’s really their loss and not yours.

The pain of rejection is temporary, regret is forever. Do not live your life wondering what will happen if you try. Just give your all and pray for the best.

Rejection doesn’t mean that you are not good enough. Maybe God is saving you for someone better..
