كنا انا وصديقتي في احدى مقاهي الحمرا ببيروت، دخلت صديقة قديمة لي فأخذتها جانباً لأني رأيت ما في عينيها من كلام، واخذت صديقتي الأولى تجيب على رسائلها الواردة. أخبرتني صديقتي أنها أدمنت المخدرات وأنها لا تستطيع التخلص منه رغم أنها تريد وأنها آسفة لجسدها، بعد أن أنهيت حديثي معها عدت لأجلس مع صديقتي الأولى أخبرتني أن إحدى صديقاتها مصابة بالسرطان في مراحله المتقدمة وان جسدها التي لطالما اهتمّت به قد غدر بها… يا لعبثية الحياة
