A Keen Eye Technique

Make it a habit to watch carefully your interlocutor while talking. Express yourself, but keep an eye on how your listener is reacting to what you’re saying (they like what they're hearing or they don't). Then plan your moves accordingly.

Thank You For Technique

Never let the phrase “thank you” stand alone, always follow it with for:

Thank you for asking
Thank you for your time.
Thank you for being such a good customer
.

It not only makes you a good communicator, but it motivates people to keep doing nice things for you. Or complimenting you. Or doing business with you.
#meeting #expressions BEGINNING A MEETING

We, Us, Our Technique

When you say we or us, even to strangers, it subconsciously brings them closer. It makes the listener feel connected.

“If we keep having this good weather, it’ll be a great summer.”

Simply use the word WE prematurely. You can use it to make a client, a prospect, a stranger feel you are already friends.
#meeting #expressions ASKING FOR OPINIONS

Meetings often begin with the presentation of some information and then a request for opinions. To ask people for their opinions, we can say:

🔹What does everyone think about…?
🔹I’d like to get your feedback on…
🔹What are your thoughts about… ?
🔹What are your views on… ?

After one person has expressed his or her opinion, we can say “Thank you for your feedback,” to acknowledge the opinion, then use these phrases to ask for more people to respond:

🔺 What does everyone else think?
🔺 Are there any other comments?

If there’s a specific person who you would like to hear from, you can ask him or her directly by using these phrases:

🔹 Susan, can we get your input?
🔺 Would you like to add anything, Susan?

🔹“Thanks for your email. I’ll be out of the office July 3-8. If you need assistance while I'm away, please contact Jane Jones at [email and phone number] for marketing questions, or Bob Miller at [email and phone number] for accounting questions.”
🔹"Thank you for your message. I am out of the office today, with no email access. I will be returning June 26. If you need immediate assistance before then, you may reach me at [phone number]."
🔹"I will be away from July 2 to July 15. For urgent matters, you can email or call Mary Smith at [email and phone number]."
🔹"Thank you for your email. I am out of the office at this time and I am not checking email. I will not return until Aug. 26. If this is an urgent matter, please contact James Johnson at [email and phone number]. Otherwise, I will respond to your email as soon as possible after my return."
Effective email writing 📧

1. Use a short, clear subject line.
2. Use short, simple sentences.
3. Include just one main subject per email – the other person can reply and delete it.
4. Do not use jokes, personal comments, etc, in business emails.
5. Consider using numbered points instead of continuous text.
6. End with an action point.
7. Don’t ignore capital letters, spelling and basic grammar – when writing to people outside the company a careless email creates a bad impression.
8. Tailor your email to the reader: level of formality, buzzwords, etc.
