در آیین نامه جدید استخراج رمز دارایی ها که در تاریخ ۲۲ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱ مصوب گردیده است، ۵ روش قانونی به منظور تامین برق مراکز ماینینگ پیشبینی شده است:
۱- احداث نیروگاه‌های تجدیدپذیر و یا خرید برق از نیروگاه‌های تجدیدپذیر جدیدالاحداث که از زمان ابلاغ این آیین‌نامه، به بهره‌برداری برسند.
۲- سرمایه‌گذاری در طرح‌های بهینه‌سازی مصرف انرژی و یا استفاده از گواهی صرفه‌جویی انرژی تخصیص یافته در چارچوب دستورالعمل بازار بهینه‌سازی انرژی و محیط زیست که توسط وزارت نیرو به تصویب می‌رسد.
۳- سرمایه‌گذاری در احداث و بهره برداری از نیروگاه حرارتی تولید برق با تامین سوخت از محل گاز همراه (فلر).
۴- خرید برق از شبکه سراسری با دریافت انشعاب برق به جز در زمان محدودیت شبکه برق. همچنین هزینه سوخت به ازای هر کیلو وات ساعت برق مصرفی و شرایط برخورداری مراکز استخراج از تخفیف در هزینه در آیین‌نامه آورده شده است.
۵- احداث نیروگاه حرارتی خارج از شبکه سراسری. تعرفه سوخت در این روش در آیین‌نامه ذکر شده است. @dgminer
