نهضت آزادی ایران طی اطلاعیه‌ای درگذشت ابراهیم رئیسی و هیأت همراه در سانحه هلی‌کوپتر حامل آن‌ها در ارتفاعات ورزقان آذربایجان شرقی را تسلیت گفت و "مایه تأسف و نگرانی" خواند.
در این اطلاعیه که دوشنبه ۳۱ اردیبهشت منتشر شده آمده است که نهضت آزادی "با عنایت به ارزش‌های انسانی، درگذشت ریاست جمهور و همراهان ایشان را به اعضای هیات دولت و خانواده‌های محترم داغدیده تسلیت می‌گوید و از خداوند متعال برای سعادت و بهروزی ملت ایران یاری می‌طلبد."

And as different people update it, your copy also gets updated.”
