Сотрудники Ботанического института приготовили для ленинградцев 11 млн единиц рассады. И в общей сложности было засажено 11,8 тыс. гектаров земли.

Доктора наук, врачи, балерины, архитекторы — все научились работать лопатами и тяпками.

И это помогло городу выжить.
