لا أُخفيكَ، يُشقيني امتلاءُ الوقت، وزخمُ المَهمَّاتِ، وكثرةُ القراءةِ، وطولُ النَّظرِ، وأعتَلُّ لقِصرِ يومي مقارنةً بأملي فيه، إلّا أنَّ شقاءَ الامتلاءِ خيرٌ من شقاءِ الفراغ، والنَّصبُ عندي أهونُ من الرَّاحةِ، وانشغالُ الخاطرِ أريحُ من خلائه، وإنّي أعلم كما تعلم أنت؛ أنّ الفُتوحَ لا يَنالُها إلّا مُعَنَّى السُّؤالِ، المُعتَكفُ على الطَلَبِ.
ألا إنَّ سؤالًا واحدًا أنالُه على تعبٍ ألذُّ عندي من عطاءٍ وفيرٍ أنالُه مستريحَ اليَدِ والقلبِ والخاطِرِ، وفي كُلٍّ خيرٌ.
