استاد ایرج افشار پس از درگذشت استاد سیدجعفر شهیدی، در یادداشت‌های روزانهٔ خود، جملاتی دربارهٔ ایشان نوشته است:
«جعفر شهیدی این بود که مؤمن بود ولی به کسی امر و نهی نداشت و دینش را به رخ دیگران نمی‌کشید. آزادگی را آموخته بود» (این دفتر بی‌معنی، ص ۵۱۴).

Telegram has no known backdoors and, even though it is come in for criticism for using proprietary encryption methods instead of open-source ones, those have yet to be compromised. While no messaging app can guarantee a 100% impermeable defense against determined attackers, Telegram is vulnerabilities are few and either theoretical or based on spoof files fooling users into actively enabling an attack.
A Telegram spokesman declined to comment on the bond issue or the amount of the debt the company has due. The spokesman said Telegram’s equipment and bandwidth costs are growing because it has consistently posted more than 40% year-to-year growth in users.
