سختی دل دارویی دارد و آن بسیار خواندن قرآن است. دلیلش این سخن الله متعال است که می‌فرماید:
﴿لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ﴾
(اگر این قرآن را بر کوهی نازل می‌کردیم یقینا آن را از بیم الله فروتن [و] از هم پاشیده می‌دیدی).
