تصویر جدید از سیاهچاله حدود دو سال پیش بود که ستاره‌شناسان برای اولین بار از یک سیاهچاله عکس گرفته و آن را منتشر کرده‌اند. اخیرا تلسکوپ Event Horizon تصویری با کیفیت بیشتر (تصویر بالا) از سیاهچاله ثبت کرده است، تصویری که حتی حرکت نور را هم نشان می‌دهد. این سیاه چاله در فاصله ۵۵میلیون سال نوری از زمین قرار دارد.
