قال مولانا الرضا علیه السلام :
مَنِ اِسْتَغْفَرَ اَللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى فِي شَعْبَانَ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً غَفَرَ اَللَّهُ لَهُ ذُنُوبَهُ وَ لَوْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ عَدَدِ اَلنُّجُومِ.

امام رضا علیه السلام فرمودند:
هرکس در ماه شعبان هفتاد بار در پیشگاه خداوند متعال استغفار کند خدا گناهانش را می آمرزد، اگرچه به تعداد ستارگان باشد.
