В Улан-Удэ проходят Всероссийские соревнования по тхэквондо МФТ «Сила Байкала».

Более 800 спортсменов из 14 регионов нашей страны 3 и 4 декабря соревнуются в физкультурной-спортивном комплексе за звание сильнейших тхэквондистов МФТ России.

История данного турнира началась в 2005 году с небольшого соревнования под названием «Здоровые дети-наше будущее!» Тогда принимали участие 100 спортсменов, представлявших г. Улан-Удэ и Иволгинский район.

С годами турнир расширял географию и количество участвующих. Сегодня участники тех детско-юношеских турниров уже стали взрослыми и сами ведут своих учеников в качестве тренеров.
