In Japan, they sell raw rice (requires cooking) in aluminum cans. Its shelf life is up to five years. The advantage of this method of storing rice is that over a long period of time no flies or bugs can appear in it - something that is quite common in Japanese homes.

As a rule, housewives buy rice in packages of 5-10 kg and pour it into large containers. The rice on the bottom does not change as often, which can lead to unwanted guests appearing in it. For large families, canned rice, of course, is not suitable, but for bachelors and businessmen living away from their families who are sent on a long business trip, it can serve a good purpose.

Away from the bustle of Tokyo, this hot springs destination and several active volcanoes are one of the most spectacular in the country. The only sign for tourists here is the inscription on the stone “Raputa no Michi” (Road to Laputa)

Horyuji Temple

The oldest Buddhist temple in Japan is known to every Japanese and many people in the world under the name Horyuji - Temple of the Prosperity of the Law.

In the center of the entire temple territory there is a rectangular courtyard with galleries. There is a gate to the south and a preaching hall to the north. Inside this square are the main possessions: the Golden Temple with a large two-tier roof, a pagoda of five floors 32 meters high. Inside is the main holy relic - an image of Buddha. Ordinary people have no access there. Surrounding these main properties are other buildings.

Horyuji Temple is one of the few wooden buildings that have survived to this day, making it the most remarkable temple that the Japanese are proud of.
