The Richard Kelly Grant was established by the New York Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society in 1980. Originally conceived as a scholarship program and later opened to young persons working in lighting in North America, the Grant is administered by the New York Section under the auspices of the IES.

The Max Planck Institutes for Informatics (Saarbruecken), Software Systems (Saarbruecken and Kaiserslautern), and Security and Privacy (Bochum) offer research internships in all areas of Computer Science. An internship at a Max Planck Institute is a way to pursue world-class research in computer science! Our internships are also an excellent way to explore research or new research areas for the first time.
Internships are open to exceptional Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral students worldwide, as well as exceptional individuals from industry interested in gaining academic research experience in computer science. Intern positions are limited and admissions are very competitive
We welcome interns all year round, but most interns prefer the summer months. Every intern works directly with an assigned faculty mentor at one of the participating institutes. Internship projects are based on the intern’s academic interests, maturity and prior experience.
All internships are fully funded, covering living costs, housing and roundtrip travel costs. A typical internship lasts 12 to 14 weeks, but longer internships are possible.
The application deadline for summer internships (i.e., those starting between May and August) is November 1 of the previous year. If you apply for this deadline and your application is successful, you should hear from us before 1st of March.
For an internship starting outside the summer months, please apply at least 5 months ahead of your intended starting date. Note that applications for internships outside summer months are considered based on the needs of individual projects and research groups. Scholarships and bursaries are offered to students entering Cape Breton University each year. Students entering direct from high school are considered for entrance scholarships based on their academic grades.
Entrance Scholarships
Canadian and International Students
All entering students who wish to be considered for entrance scholarships must submit the following in addition to an admission application:
Official transcript
Financial need application for those interested in bursaries
Articulation Agreement Students
Articulation agreements (both domestic & international) qualify
Students must be currently enrolled in their program of transfer
ESL conditional offers must attend a CBU English language partner school to have award honoured
Minimum 80% average as determined by CBU to be eligible with no failures
High School Students
No failures in Grade 11 courses
Average is based on the five AC & AD courses required for your program’s admission. The final Grade 11 grades will be used to determine the average
Average for international students entering directly from high school will be determined by Cape Breton University
ESL conditional offers must attend a CBU English language partner school to have award honoured

The GCUB International Mobility Program – GCUB-Mob is promoted by GCUB, with the support of Instituto Guimarães Rosa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, the Organization of Southern Cooperation – OSC, the Organization of American States – OAS, the Conselho Nacional das State Research Support Foundations – CONFAP , the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean – UDUALC and the Consejo Superior Universitario Centroamericano – CSUCA; and in partnership with the National Commission of UNESCO for Brazil and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – AUF.
The Program aims to contribute to the development of high academic level students from the five continents, as well as promoting university internationalization and strengthening international cooperation between Brazilian universities and institutions of other countries.
More than 800 master's and doctoral degree scholarships will be awarded in this edition, by 55 Brazilian universities, whose programs will begin in 2025.

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students is established by JIANGXI Provincial Government aiming to attract and encourage excellent international students to study in Jiangxi. It is evaluated and approved by Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Education and issued by Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Finance. The duration of the scholarship is for 1 academic year.
Amount
1. Scholarship B (RMB20, 000): for the students who study Bachelor Degree Program.
2. Scholarship C (RMB6, 000): for long-term non-degree program students (over six months).
CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
a. Applicants for bachelor degree program (Scholarship B) must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 25.
b. Applicants for short-term or exchange program must study more than 6 months.

Objective
This programme aims to deepen knowledge of the German language (general language, technical language) and regional studies.
Who can apply?
Students in undergraduate (e.g. bachelor's) and master's degree programs in all disciplines are eligible to apply.
Undergraduate students must have completed at least two academic years by the time the scholarship period begins.
What can be funded?
The programme funds attendance of language, regional studies and technical language courses offered by state or state-recognised German universities and by affiliated language schools.
Course providers and courses offered can be found on the DAAD website at: www.daad.de/hsk-kursliste.
The courses are taught exclusively in German.
Duration of the funding
The courses have a duration of at least 18 teaching days (max. 5 days/week, excluding arrival and departure days) with at least 25 teaching hours per week each.
The grants are not extendable.
The courses usually take place between the months of June and September.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
enrolled in your final year of senior secondary school in 2024/2025 or have graduated no earlier than June 2024
beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their post-secondary studies in January 2025 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered).
Application Process
The 2025 Competition opens in July 1, 2024. To apply, you will need to:
Receive a nomination from your school. High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, available here.(external link) High schools who have participated in a previous year will receive their nomination access starting July 1, 2024.
Apply to study at the University of Toronto(external link) by October 18, 2024 in order to begin your studies in September 2025 . Please be advised that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to them all; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
enrolled in your final year of senior secondary school in 2024/2025 or have graduated no earlier than June 2024
beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their post-secondary studies in January 2025 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered).
Application Process
The 2025 Competition opens in July 1, 2024. To apply, you will need to:
Receive a nomination from your school. High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, available here.(external link) High schools who have participated in a previous year will receive their nomination access starting July 1, 2024.
Apply to study at the University of Toronto(external link) by October 18, 2024 in order to begin your studies in September 2025 . Please be advised that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to them all; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.

The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme (known as Public Policy and Good Governance) supports future leaders from developing countries (see list of countries), who want to promote democracy and social justice in their home countries. The programme, which is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, offers the chance to acquire a Master’s degree in Master programmes of particular relevance for the social, political and economic development in the students’ countries of origin. In the light of the principles of Good Governance, highly qualified graduates with a first academic degree are being educated in political science, law, economics and administration and prepared for future leading positions in their home countries.

MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is open for application in May and June every year and recipients will conduct their research in Taiwan as early as January the next year.
1. Financial assistance
(1) Monthly grants are paid at the beginning of every month.
a. Professors, associate professors, research fellows, or associate research fellows: NT$60,000
b. Assistant professors, assistant research fellows, or doctoral candidates: NT$50,000.
(2) One round-trip, economy-class ticket for the most direct route to Taiwan (The subsidy will be decided by MOFA in accordance with the relevant regulations).
(3) The terms of fellowship are 3 to 12 months.
(4) Accident insurance (plus a medical insurance for accidental injuries) coverage of NT$1 million.
2. Eligibility
Recipients shall be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
