I’m going to university next year for engineering, and wondering if anyone could advise me on choosing a good used ThinkPad! Probably will buy from EBay or local used laptop store. For me, all the info and models is overwhelming because I know very little about laptops in general.
Ideally, I would like:
16 gb ram Fairly portable, would be bringing it to and from university each day
Ok battery life, I could plug it in throughout the day
Capable of running CAD programs, web browsing, coding, without an issue
Able to last me through the four years of university
Budget is ≈ $850 CAD/$625 USD
I’ll be buying a used iPad most likely, for taking digital notes, but would be open to a touchscreen laptop as well

The cloud-based messaging platform is also adding Anonymous Group Admins feature. As per Telegram, this feature is being introduced for safer protests. As per the Telegram blog post, users can “Toggle Remain Anonymous in Admin rights to enable Batman mode. The anonymized admin will be hidden in the list of group members, and their messages in the chat will be signed with the group name, similar to channel posts.”
