Современным поколениям тяжело представить как в 1941-1945 году за полярным кругом люди, проживая в полевых/барачных условиях героически вгрызались в вечную мерзлоту, строили ЖД в -40С чтобы отправлять бесценный уголь для отопления блокадного Ленинграда, для металлургических заводов и легендарных танков Т-34. Всё это было благодаря Воркуте и, без преувеличения, героическому труду Воркутинцев.
Очень надеемся, что страна не только словом, но и делом поддержит память о бескорыстном трудовом подвиге Северян, что звание «Город трудовой доблести» станет дополнительным стимулом для развития Заполярья.
