مكتبة is-promise و هي مكتبة جافاسكربت ( يمكن الوصول إليها عبر الـ npm ) قد أضافت تحديث يوم السبت ( البارحة ) في الكود البرمجي خاصتها، لكن التحديث المضاف في الحقيقة لم يكن شغالا و يُظهر خطأ في الكود. تلقائيا، قام مجموعة من المطورين الذين يعتمدون على المكتبة في برمجياتهم الخاصة الى التحديث كذلك، مما سبب عطلا في الكود البرمجي الكامل لمجموعة من البرمجيات عبر الإنترنت. تم إصلاح المشكل لاحقا. مكتبة is-promise هي مكتبة يتم إستخدامها للتحقق ما إذا كان الـ Object عبارة عن Promise ام لا.
