Here is the fact that the YouTube company is unaware about. A massive massacre and displacement of The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo believers and burning to ash of her Churches is being conducted.

The magnitude of such act is increasingly aggressive in the last three years. Upon a single phone call of an activist named Jawar, the precious lives of 86 Christians were slain away, just a year ago. The aftermath shown several displacements, burning down and demolition of more than 20 Churches.

Not limited to this, following a premeditated attack on 1st of July 2020, brutal genocide effected in the eastern and south eastern regions of Ethiopia. The corpse of the diseased were chopped. A child in its mother womb was brought to death, so that a Christian successor shouldn’t get born in “their land” as the aggressors proclaimed.

The right to life is at stake, especially when one is found to be Orthodox. There was an attempt to kill 5 Bishops as the charge of the attorney general shows. The houses and merchandises of the Orthodox believers were turned to ash devastatingly. All horrific things happen to the Christians.

The violent attacks were led by local and federal officials as the Ethiopian government itself witnessed. The Church condemned the act on her press release. And pronounced the attack as genocide.

Advocating to these people can’t in any way be considered hate speech. Zemedkun Bekele is one of many advocates to this regard. He has been doing his best to rehabilitate the displaced through a tireless effort. He uses YouTube as a social media platform, to facilitate and coordinate the purpose.

Recently we have learnt that YouTube has banned his channel as a result of hate speech report. Those people who reported against him should be the prime suspects who are in alliance with the same people instigating the death and the uncountable suffering the Church received.

Listening to this people is like double killing the victims. Hence we strongly disagree the decision of banning Zemedkun. Let YouTube show it stands with humanity by lifting the embargo.
