في عصرنا هذا رزق بعض الناس من العلوم وتدقيق النظر ما لم يرزقه بعض المشايخ السابقين المشهورين ، لسهولة الوقوف على الكتب وانتشار طباعتها وصور مخطوطاتها ، وكثرة الأبحاث والدارسات ، فربما حمله هذا على الاغترار والضيق بما لهم من المنزلة التي يرى نفسه أولى بها.
ولا يزال يتتبع سقطهم ويذمهم ، ونفسه عليهم غير سليمة ، وتنظر في علوها أكثر من نظرها للحق وبيانه ، حتى يغضب الله عليه ويغار لأوليائه الصالحين فيعاقبه بالانحطاط إلى ما لا يقع فيه أصغر معظميهم ، ويشتبه عليه ما لم يخطر له اشتباهه.
فنعوذ بالله من هذه المنزلة ، ونشهده أننا لا نرى لأنفسنا فضلا لو نبهنا على غلط من سبقنا من الصالحين ، ونسأله الإخلاص في القول والعمل ، والتقوى في السر والعلانية.
