"The reason most people fail instead of succeed is they trade what they want most for what they want at the moment.
People sacrifice their long term aspirations for short term pleasures.
They become prisoners of their own impulses resulting in sad lives characterized by inconsistency and missed opportunities."

- Napoleon Bonaparte.
"I worry there is something broken
in our generation".
I have this bad habit of trying to fix people.
We must live our own experience,
we cannot inherit it.
β€œRemembrance of things past is not necessarily the remembrance of things as they were.”

- Marcel Proust.
β€œThe Greek word for "return" is nostos. Algos means "suffering."
So nostalgia is the suffering caused by an unappeased yearning to return.”

"You'll always be brave in someone's mind and coward in another's, strong to one and fragile to another, good to one and terrible to another. You will be seen as annoying to one and comforting to another. Some will feel anxious around you and some will find peace in your company. Some will see you as "too much" while others will see you as a gift. The world will look at you from their subjective point of view. The world is never going to agree on a definition of who you are. Oliver Sacks.
"There will be no one like us when we are gone, but then there is no one like anyone else, ever.
When people die, they cannot be replaced.
They leave holes that cannot be filled, for it is the fate - the genetic and neural fate - of every human being to be a unique individual, to find his own path, to live his own life, to die his own death."

Oliver Sacks.
