این مرد که یک تبعه یونانی است سال ۲۰۲۰ در جزیره رودس به اتهام عکاسی از تحرکات نیروهای مسلح یونان در دریای اژه بازداشت شده بود.
وزارت خارجه دولت اشغالگر ترکیه ضمن محکوم کردن بازداشت این کارمند کنسولگری ترکیه در یونان، گفته است که این اقدام حقوق یک مقام کنسولی را نقض کرده است.
