Минобороны РФ в канун Дня Победы обнародовало несколько архивных документов из личных дел писателей-фронтовиков, а также реальных прототипов героев их книг.

В частности, опубликованы рассекреченные документы о героях Великой Отечественной войны, ставших прототипами персонажей повестей "Сын полка" Валентина Катаева и "А зори здесь тихие..." Бориса Васильева, романов "Горячий снег" Юрия Бондарева и "Живые и мертвые" Константина Симонова.
