وفي هذا يقول الإمام ابن تيمية: (حقوق العباد من الذنوب والمظالم وغيرها لا تسقط بالحج باتفاق الأئمة، والحديث الذي يُروىٰ في سقوط المظالم وغيرها بذلك، وهو حديث عباس بن مرداس، حديثٌ ضعيف).
