Все обычно хорошо понимают первую часть — нужно использовать широкий диапазон слов. А вот вторая часть to convey precise meaning не всегда учитывается. Вот ее и разберем сегодня.
☝️ Ваша задача не просто разбросать по речи множество слов, но и точно использовать их в контексте, максимально корректно передать смысл того, что хотите сказать.
Например, используя базовый вокабуляр, вы можете сказать:
😐 The event was interesting.
Ничего плохого во фразе нет, но... how interesting? what do you mean by saying 'interesting'?
😮 Did you mean 'unusual' or 'unexpected'? Then it was quirky.
🤩 Did you use 'interesting' meaning it captured your attention? Then it was enthralling or captivating.
🤨 Or maybe the event was strange (in an unpleasant way)? Then you could use the words odd or peculiar or bizarre.
🥳 Was the event of a far-reaching importance? Then it was momentous. Сравните: an interesting event in history vs. a momentous event in history.
Все эти слова более точно передают смысл базового слова 'interesting' (и добавляют вам баллы за flexible LR).

Pinterest (PINS) closed at $71.75 in the latest trading session, marking a -0.18% move from the prior day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.1%. Meanwhile, the Dow gained 0.9%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, lost 0.59%.
