๐Ÿš€ Open Research Position: Hallucination Detection & Mitigation in Vision-Language Models (VLMs)

We are looking for motivated students to join our research on hallucination detection and mitigation in Visual Question Answering (VQA) models at RIML Lab.

๐Ÿ” Project Description
Visual Question Answering (VQA) models generate text-based answers by analyzing an input image and a query. Despite their success, they still suffer from hallucination issues, where responses are incorrect, misleading, or not grounded in the image content.
This research focuses on detecting and mitigating these hallucinations to enhance the reliability and accuracy of VQA models.

"Alleviating Hallucinations in Large Vision-Language Models through Hallucination-Induced Optimization"

๐Ÿ”น Must-Have Requirements
- Strong Python programming skills
- Knowledge of deep learning (especially VLMs)
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch
- Ready to start immediately

NEWS: Telegram supports Facetime video calls NOW!

Secure video calling is in high demand. As an alternative to Zoom, many people are using end-to-end encrypted apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime or Signal to speak to friends and family face-to-face since coronavirus lockdowns started to take place across the world. Thereโ€™s another optionโ€”secure communications app Telegram just added video calling to its feature set, available on both iOS and Android. The new feature is also super secureโ€”like Signal and WhatsApp and unlike Zoom (yet), video calls will be end-to-end encrypted.

What is Telegram?

Telegramโ€™s stand out feature is its encryption scheme that keeps messages and media secure in transit. The scheme is known as MTProto and is based on 256-bit AES encryption, RSA encryption, and Diffie-Hellman key exchange. The result of this complicated and technical-sounding jargon? A messaging service that claims to keep your data safe. Why do we say claims? When dealing with security, you always want to leave room for scrutiny, and a few cryptography experts have criticized the system. Overall, any level of encryption is better than none, but a level of discretion should always be observed with any online connected system, even Telegram.
