البخل صفة ذميمة جدًّا، وقد تتحمل كل الناس إلا البخيل؛ وبعض الفقهاء كالإمام أبي حنيفة رحمه الله تعالى لا يقبل شهادة البخيل، ويقول: البخيل يحمله بخله على أن يأخذ فوق حقه مخافة أن يُغبن، ومن كان هكذا لا يكون مأمونًا.
