كان إسحاق بن عباد البصري نائماً، فرأى في منامه قائلاً يقول له: أغِثِ الملهوف. فاستيقظ فسأل: هل في جيرانه محتاج؟ قالوا: ما ندري؟ ثم نام فأتاه ثانياً وثالثاً، فقال له: أتنام ولم تُغِثِ الملهوف؟ فقام وأخذ معه ثلاثمائة درهم، ورَكِبَ بغله فخرج إلى المسجد فإذا رجلٌ يُصَلَّي، فلما أحسَّ به انصرف فدنا منه، فقال له : يا عبد الله، في هذا الوقت؟، في هذا الموضع؟، ما أخرجك؟ قال: أنا رجلٌ كان رأس مالي مائة درهم، فذهبت من يدي، ولزمني دينٌ مائتا درهم. فأخرج له الدراهم، وقال: هذه ثلاثمائة درهم خُذها فأخذها ثُمَّ قال له: أتعرفني؟ قال: لا. قال له : أنا إسحاق بن عباد، فإن نابتك نائبة فأتني فإنَّ منزلي في موضع كذا. فقال: رَحِمَكَ اللَّه، إِن نَابَتنَا نَائِبَةٌ، فَزِعنَا إِلَى مَن أَخرَجَكَ فِي هَذَا الْوَقتِ، حَتَّى جَاءَ بِكَ إِلَينَا. رسائل ابن رجب: 3/128
