乙：这是因为人们需要“对人生的控制感”，哪怕这种控制感是虚假的。健康的人想让自己相信，只要“不做错事情”就可以永远保持健康。健康的人很不愿意去看到事实：有可能一个人就是什么都没有做错，只是不明不白地陷入了糟糕的病情之中。为了逃避这个事实，健康的人喜欢进一步去假定，如果有一天自己生病了，只要全力以赴配合治疗，就一定能康复。而在这种“希望”的逻辑里，如果你长期生病，那一定是你做错过什么，或者没有全力以赴配合治疗。
