جاء أبو ليلى وعبداللّٰـه بن مغفل إلى النبي ﷺ يوم تبوك ليعطي كل واحد منهما فرساً ليجاهد عليها ، فلما أخبرهما أنه لا يجد ما يعطيهما ، عادا أدراجهما وهما يبكيان، هذا بكاؤهما على فوات الطاعـة ، فكيف يا ترى كان بكاؤهما إذا اقترفا معصية ؟ ! إنه حال المؤمن الحق ، يعزُّ عليه أن تغلق الأبواب بينه وبين اللّٰــه ! هذا إن كان في طاعة سعى إليها بكل جوارحه ، ثم لسبب ما حـال اللّٰـــه بينـه وبينـها ، فكيف لو أحسَّ بالابتعاد عن اللّٰـه بسبب ذنبٍ أصابه ؟!
