من لم يؤمن بلقاء ربه تعالى كانت الصلاة وغيرها من العبادات أشق شيء عليه، وفعلها من أشق الأمور على نفسه، والعكس صحيح:
﴿واستعينوا بالصبر والصلاة وإنها لكبيرة إلا على الخاشعين الذين يظنون أنهم ملاقو ربهم وأنهم إليه راجعون﴾.
