往好里说，这些小说让我们更深刻地体会到了社会中被压迫群体的生活。往坏里说，这些小说让社会中被压迫群体的生活和科幻想象等同了起来，从而更难让人去倾听真正经历苦难的人的声音了。
这也就是为什么我拒绝在我的小说里描绘想象中的末世。因为我不愿意用想象去替代我们社会中受苦最为深重的人的经历和现实。 source
